Rev. Jennifer Ann Bowers, RMTIn 2002 Jennifer graduated from Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy, Colorado Springs, Co and became a certified massage therapist. August of 2002 she started Rose Bridge Healing Therapies an integrated bodywork service which evolved into Rose Bridge Creations in 2008 that now includes her artistic talents and Transition Guide services. At the age of 20 she began exploring alternative healing modalities including herbal supplements, crystals and aromatherapy. From 1998 to 2001 she studied Healing Touch, in 2006 became a Reiki Master and in 2004 became an ordained minister with Universal Brotherhood Movement, Inc.
Having admired a high school teacher who used to tell stories of all the different jobs he had; Jennifer followed in his footsteps. She was a temp for the employment agencies Kelly Services, Manpower and a few other smaller companies. She learned about many industries during this time including health insurance, medical claim management, customer service, administrative and secretarial services, computer system management, data entry and general accounting. Jennifer was also an office manager for a chiropractic company managing all aspects of the business including filing and managing insurance claims, coordinating between two doctors, two locations and a massage therapist and patient scheduling and relations.
It seemed Jennifer has always been doing something creative. As early as elementary school she showed an interest in creating things. All 3 years in high school she won several awards at the state Industrial Arts Fair in Fort Collins, Colorado. In 1992 she graduated from Hawkeye Community College Waterloo, Iowa with an AA in Interior Design. While she never took a job in the industry she used the artistic skills learned there to do exhibit design at Hartman Nature Center in Cedar Falls, Iowa 1993 - 1995. For Jennifer art is a vital outlet for creativity and healing. Her talents have now expanded into digital photography, digital design, textiles, crochet, color pencil, oil pastels, water color, beadwork and any other media or combination that catches her attention.
Believing that community is important Jennifer has always made giving of her time a top priority. While in massage school she was a touch therapy volunteer at Pikes Peak Hospice using her skills as a healer to provide comfort where needed. Long having a passion for teaching in 2003 she became an in class room volunteer with Junior Achievement. “This gives me the opportunity to share my love of learning and to be a positive role model.” Jennifer has been very generous with her artistic talents giving works of art and creating special items to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and the fraternal groups Order of Eastern Star and Order of the Amaranth.
As a Transition Guide it is Jennifer’s intention to use her professional skills and to integrate her varied life experiences into a unique set of services that provide one-on-one support to her clients no matter what stage of life’s ups and downs they may find themselves.
Jennifer is a native of Colorado Springs. She graduated from Wasson High School, Colorado Springs, CO. in 1984.
